Towards WSF 2009, in Amazon

During World Social Forum's International Council meeting, held in Berlin, Germany, at the end of May, it was decided next world event will take place in January 2009, in Amazon region. A first meeting aims to forum organisation will be held in August, in Belem, Brazil.

In this meeting will be present social civil society organisation's delegates from the nine countries of pan amazon, as well as from other Latin America countries from Americas Social Forum's Hemispheric Council and WSF International Council.

Moreover than debate on objective conditions construction towards WSF 2009, the meeting will deal with how to think the organisation process for the Global Day of Mobilisation and Action – January 2008 – at Amazon region.
